Two Thai Smile Airways' jets are launching scheduled flights to Hong Kong from Suvarnabhumi and Phuket on 28 October 2018.
According to Thai news sources, Thai Smile flight WE630 departs from Suvarnabhumi for Hong Kong at 10.05 am, arrives in Hong Kong at 1.50 pm before leaving Hong Kong for Suvarnabhumi at 3 pm and touching down in Suvarnabhumi at 4.45 pm under flight WE631. The inaugural flights of Thai Smile between Suvarnabhumi and Hong Kong are fully-booked.
On 28 October 2018, flight WE608 takes off from Phuket for Hong Kong at 3.40 pm, arrives in Hong Kong at 8.05 pm before departing from Hong Kong for Phuket at 10.25 am and landing in Phuket the next day at 12.55 pm under flight WE609.
As the subsidiary of Thai Airways International, Thai Smile's flights to Hong Kong complement existing flights of Thai Airways International to Hong Kong.
According to Hong Kong tourism statistics, Hong Kong is one of the popular cities in Asia for Thai tourists. In August 2018, 33,931 tourists from Thailand visited Hong Kong, an increase of 10 per cent compared to 30,844 Thai tourists in August 2017.
