Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd's first A320neo aircraft arrives in Singapore Changi Airport on 7 October 2018 to the applause of Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd and Changi Airport management. Currently it is parking next to Changi Airport Terminal 4. On 29 October 2018, it operates its first commercial flight under TR610 to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport from Changi Airport Terminal 2.
On 29 October 2018, flight TR610 departs for Suvarnabhumi at 4 pm, arrives in Suvarnabhumi at 5.35 pm before leaving for Singapore at 6.15 pm and touching down in Singapore at 9.45 pm under flight TR611.
Registered as 9V-TNA and named "Chapati Party", the fuel-saving jet is the first of Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd's 39 purchase-ordered A320neo aircraft to arrive in Singapore to replace its aging fleet of A320 and A319 aircraft.
The A320neo is projected to provide a 20 per cent reduction in fuel burn thus bringing further engine efficiency improvements. In addition, the neo version has an improved noise footprint, and it will be 15 Decibels below ICAO Chapter-4 requirements. It will help Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd achieve lower costs of operations and sustain the environment for future generations.
