Remarkable Airline Exhibitors at ITB Asia 2018

Here is the pictorial album of the exhibitors appearing in ITB Asia 2018 some for the first time in the course of the travel mart history. For the latest news on the travel mart, please refer to www.itb-asia-news.com and the references of this report for the latest updates.




GoAir at Booth K42. It recently commenced inaugural flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Phuket and  launches scheduled flight from Delhi to Male on 18 October 2018. Brochures showing the current route network of GoAir are distributed. While GoAir is searching for interested travel trade partners from the world, expect fresh route news from GoAir in India next week.




Flightlink Limited is a Tanzanian regional airline offering domestic flights on 8 routes, air charter services and safari tours. It exhibits for the first time under Africa Pavilion, distributing company profiles and Timetables. Cities in Tanzania served from Dar Es Salaam include Arusha, Pemba Island, Dodoma,Lake Manyara, Seronera, Selous and Zanzibar. Sriwijaya Air at Booth G05 (Indonesian Tourism booth) is now Indonesia's third largest airline. It has a fleet of 56 aircraft, flies to 64 domestic cities and performs 11 international cities . It has international charter flights to Changsha, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Haikou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Nanning, Quanzhou and Wuhan from Denpasar, scheduled flights to Penang from Kualanamu and to Dili from Denpasar. In 2017, Sriwijaya Air Group operates 339 flights per day with more than 12,600,000 passengers across Indonesia. Its subsidiary Nam Air on-time perfomance rate is 92.62 per cent, higher than that of Sriwijaya Air (88.69 per cent).  

Sriwijaya Air is still studying the feasibility of relaunching flights to Singapore from Jakarta and Tanjung Pandan. It distributes limited copies of Sriwijaya magazine, Timetables and route maps at ITB Asia 2018.





United Airlines represented by its Singapore branch at the USA Pavilion distributes local flight schedules highlighting the two daily flights from Singapore to San Francisco for the first time. Its brochures show the travel possibilities from San Francisco to other US cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago and Orlando. They are not available at the Singapore office and at NATAS Travel Fairs.





Finnair distributes collections of square postcards including one square postcard showing the tail livery of its aircraft and A350 flying. Company profiles are distributed at ITB Asia 2018.




LOT Polish Airlines is one of the first-time exhibitors at ITB Asia 2018. It distributes route maps and fleet profiles. The Polish airline only has the local office in Changi Airport that is in charge of corporate client accounts. It does not handle individual air ticketing matters and forbids anyone from walking in. Another new airline exhibitor is Wow Air from Iceland. It markets its inflight services and route network including flights to Delhi to the travel trade. It is searching for interested sales agents from Asia.






Other transport exhibitors include Capetown Helicopters (second year presence), Garuda Indonesia, Singapore Airlines, Berjaya Air (first year presence) and aircraft broker and leasing firm Air Charter Service (first year presence).

The next edition of ITB Asia takes place from 16 to 18 October 2019 at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands.
