Vietjet Air launches long-haul flight from Hanoi to Prague via Almaty on 10 October 2026.

On 10 October 2026, according to schedules, Vietjet Air flight VJ31 departs from Hanoi for Prague via Almaty at 8.25 am, transits in Almaty at 12.50 pm before leaving Almaty for Hanoi at 2.20 pm and touching down in Prague at 6.55 pm local time.

At 8.55 pm, flight VJ32 leaves Prague for Hanoi via Almaty, stops over in Almaty at 6.40 am on 11 October 2026 before taking off from Almaty for Hanoi at 8.55 am and arriving in Hanoi at 4.20 pm.

Vietjet Air flies to Prague via Almaty with its A330-300 aircraft on Tuesdays and Saturdays and lands in Hanoi on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways launches flight to Changi on 25 July 2026

On 20 May 2026, Sun PhuQuoc Airways announces that online tickets for its return flight to Changi Airport, Singapore, are open for sale. The airline is launching scheduled flight from Phuquoc to Changi on 25 July 2026.

On 25 July 2026, according to Sun PhuQuoc, flight 9G721 takes off from Phuquoc for Changi at 10.35 am, touches down in Changi at 1.20 pm before leaving Changi for Phuquoc at 2.20 pm under flight 9G722 and landing in Phuquoc at 3.05 pm.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways flies daily to Changi from Phuquoc with its A321neo aircraft.

To celebrate the launch of its flight to Changi, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is selling online tickets at 20 per cent of the basic ticket price from 20 May 2026 to 19 June 2026 for effective travel from 25 July 2026 to  31 December 2026.

Riyadh Air launches its first international flight on 1 July 2026

Riyadh Air, the new private airline of Saudi Arabia, launches its first commercial flight from Riyadh to London Heathrow on 1 July 2026.

On 1 July 20-26, according to schedules, Riyadh Air flight RX401 departs from Riyadh for Heathrow at 2.35 am, touches down in Heathrow at 7.30 am before taking off under flight RX402 at 9.35 am for Riyadh and arriving in Riyadh at 6.05 pm.

Riyadh Air flies daily to London Heathrow with its newly-acquired 787-9 Dreamliner jet.

Shanghai Airlines launches flight to Changi from Pudong on 10 June 2026

Shanghai Airlines is launching daily scheduled flight between Pudong and Changi under its own flight code FM on 10 June 2026.  

On 10 June 2026, according to schedules on China Eastern's web-site, Shanghai Airlines flight FM843 (China Eastern code MU8311) departs from Pudong for Changi at 8.55 pm, touches down in Changi at 2.25 am on 11 June 2026 before leaving Changi for Pudong at 3.25 am under flight FM844 (China Eastern code MU8312) and arriving in Pudong at 8.10 am.

Shanghai Airlines flies to Changi with its 737 MAX 8 aircraft. It previously operated 787-9 Dreamliner flights to Changi on behalf of China Eastern.

Peach Aviation launches Narita-Incheon flight on 20 September 2026

Peach Aviation launches direct flight from Narita to Incheon on 20 September 2026.

On 20 September 2026, according to schedules, Peach Aviation flight MM651 departs from Narita for Incheon at 9.30 am, touches down in Incheon at 12.25 pm before taking off from Incheon for Narita at 1.35 pm under flight MM652 and arriving in Narita at 4.15 pm.

Peach Aviation flies between Narita and Incheon daily with its Airbus A320neo jet. The new route is the airline's first international flight to South Korea from Narita. Other than this route, the airline also flies to Incheon from Kansai and Haneda, and to Gimpo, the city airport of Seoul, from Chubu and Kansai.

Air Niugini launches A220 flight from Port Moresby to Nadi, the international gateway to Fiji, on 19 July 2026.

On 19 July 2026, according to schedules, Air Niugini flight PX86 departs from Port Moresby for Nadi at 12 pm, touches down in Nadi at 6.50 pm before leaving Nadi for Port Moresby at 8.30 am on 20 July 2026 and arriving in Port Moresby at 11.30 am under flight PX87.

Air Niugini flies to Nadi non-stop with its A220 aircraft on Sundays and returns to Port Moresby on Mondays. The airline also flies to Nadi via Honiara in code-sharing arrangement with Solomon Airlines using Air Niugini's B737-800 jet.

On 19 May 2026, Hunnu Air launches scheduled flight from Chinggis Khaan Airport (UBN) in Khoshig Valley to Tianjin.

According to FlightRadar24, Hunnu Air flight MR805 departs from UBN for Tianjin at 11.45 am (scheduled time 11.30 am) and touches down in Tianjin Binhai Airport at 2 pm before leaving Tianjin for Chinggis Khaan at 3.37 pm (scheduled time 3 pm) and arriving in Chinggis Khaan at 5.43 pm (scheduled time 5.40 pm) under flight MR806.

Hunnu Air flies to Tianjin with its Embraer E190 aircraft on Tuesdays and Saturdays until October 2026.

Ethiopian Airlines deploys A350XWB on route to Changi since 13 May 2026

Since 13 May 2026, Ethiopian Airlines has deployed the A350-900 (A350XWB) aircraft on its route from Addis Ababa to Changi. The A350XWB flight will continue until 31 May 2026 according to Trip.com.

Ethiopian Airlines arrives in Changi from Addis Ababa and flies onward from Changi to KLIA on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and weekends. From 2 June 2026, the airline reverts to 787 Dreamliner flights.

Loongair launches non-stop scheduled flight from Hangzhou to Busan on 22 June 2026. It plans to fly to Busan four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Parata Air, as above, continues its route expansion in 2026. After launching flight to Sapporo New Chitose Airport on 6 July 2026, it is commencing daily scheduled flight from Incheon to Hanoi from 13 July 2026.

Yangyang-based South Korean airline, Parata Air, as above, launches scheduled flight from Incheon to Sapporo New Chitose Airport on 6 July 2026.
