Vietjet Air launches direct scheduled flight from Phu Quoc to Kaohsiung on 14 June 2024 with its Airbus A320 aircraft.

On 14 June 2024, Vietjet Air flight VJ992 departs from Phu Quoc for Kaohsiung at 10 am, touches down in Kaohsiung at 2.15 pm before leaving Kaohsiung for Phu Quoc at 3.15 pm and touching down in Phu Quoc at 5.35 pm under flight VJ993.

Vietjet Air flies to Kaohsiung from Phu Quoc on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

 

Norse launches flight to Las Vegas from Gatwick on 12 September 2024

Norse Atlantic Airways launches direct scheduled flight from London Gatwick to Las Vegas with its 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on 12 September 2024.

On 12 September 2024, Norse flight Z0777 departs from Gatwick for Las Vegas at 12 pm, touches down in Las Vegas at 2.40 pm local time before leaving Las Vegas for Gatwick at 4.45 pm and arriving in Gatwick at 10.35 am on 14 September 2024 under flight Z0778.

Norse flies to Las Vegas on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Starlux Airlines has amended flight codes of its inaugural return flight to Seattle on 16 August 2024

Starlux Airlines has amended its flight codes of its Taoyuan-Seattle-Taoyuan routes and its scheduled inaugural flight to Seattle remains unchanged, on 16 August 2024. The airline has started selling the tickets on its web-site from 28 March 2024.

According to the schedules provided by Starlux, its A350-900neo aircraft takes off on 16 August 2024 under flight JX32 (previously JX22) at 8 pm, touches down in Seattle at 4.15 pm local time before leaving Seattle for Taoyuan at 2.10 am on 17 August 2024 and lands in Taoyuan at 5.10 am on 18 August 2024 under flight JX31 (previously JX21).

The above timings are effective for travel on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Taoyuan and on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Seattle until 31 August 2024.

From 1 September 2024, flight JX32 arrives in Seattle at 3.50 pm while flight JX31 departs from Seattle at 1.45 am.

Starlux Airlines says that in partnership with Alaska Airlines, the Taiwanese airline and Alaska Airlines offer access to over a hundred destinations across North America via Seattle, including "Las Vegas (LAS), Portland (PDX), New York (JFK), Chicago (ORD), Phoenix (PHX), Salt Lake City (SLC), Denver (DEN), Dallas (DFW), Houston (IAH), Boise (BOI), and more."

Jetstar Asia launches flight from Changi to Broome on 25 June 2024

Jetstar Asia launches its inaugural direct scheduled flight from Changi to Broome on 25 June 2024 with its Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline has started selling tickets for this new route on its web-site with effect from 28 March 2024.

According to schedules, Jetstar Asia flies to Broome under flight pairs 3K165/3K166 on Tuesdays and 3K167/3K168 on Saturdays.

On 25 June 2024 (Tuesday), flight 3K165 departs from Changi Terminal 4 for Broome at 7.20 am, touches down in Broome at 11.55 am before leaving Broome for Changi at 12.55 pm and arriving in Changi at 5.30 pm under flight 3K166. The timings are effective for travel on Tuesdays only.

On Saturdays, flight 3K167 takes off from Changi Terminal 4 for Broome at 2.55 pm, arrives in Broome at 7.25 pm before leaving Broome for Changi at 8.25 pm and landing in Changi at 1 am on Sundays.

Broome is Jetstar Asia's first Australian destination after Singapore re-opens national borders to vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers.

Shenzhen Airlines launches flight to Nagoya Chubu on 31 March 2024

Shenzhen Airlines launches non-stop scheduled flight from Shenzhen to Nagoya Chubu Airport on 31 March 2024 with its Airbus A320 aircraft.

On 31 March 2024, Shenzhen Airlines flight ZH8053 departs from Shenzhen for Chubu at 12.45 pm, touches down in Chubu at 5.50 pm before leaving Chubu for Shenzhen at 6.50 pm and arriving in Shenzhen at 10.30 pm under flight ZH8054.

Shenzhen Airlines flies to Nagoya Chubu daily.

Cambodia Angkor Air launches flight to Delhi on 16 June 2024

According to Cambodia Angkor Air's Facebook post on 24 March 2024, the Cambodian national flag carrier launches direct scheduled flight from Phnom Penh to Delhi on 16 June 2024. However, as of 26 March 2024, tickets are yet to be available for on-line sale.

According to given schedules, Cambodia Angkor Air's inbound flight to Delhi leaves Phnom Penh at 4.35 pm, touches down in Delhi at 7.50 pm on 16 June 2024 before the outbound flight takes off from Delhi for Phnom Penh at 8.50 pm and arrives in Phnom Penh at 2.50 am on 17 June 2024.

Cambodia Angkor Air flies to Delhi from Phnom Penh with its Airbus A320 aircraft on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.  

The airline comments on the new route, "The new route Phnom Penh - New Delhi is an extension of Cambodia Angkor Air's commitment to serving passengers by providing convenient connectivity to wonderful destinations in no time. A journey to both historical wonders is somehow a dream come true for adventurers who seek to explore numerous temples, historical sites, and stunning natural surroundings. Shandong Airlines resumes flight to Changi from Jinan again

Shandong Airlines is resuming scheduled flight from Jinan to Changi again. With effect from 18 April 2024, the airline flight SC8061 departs from Jinan for Changi at 5.50 pm, touches down in Changi Terminal 1 at 11.50 pm before leaving Changi for Jinan at 12.55 am on 19 April 2024 and landing in Jinan at 7.10 am under flight SC8062.

Shandong Airlines flies to Changi from Jinan with its 737 MAX 8 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It leaves Changi for Jinan on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. It last served Changi from December 2018 until March 2019 under flight SC4937/SC4938.

Turkmenistan Airlines deploys B777-300ER on the route to Ho Chi Minh City

Since 21 March 2024, Turkmenistan Airlines has utilized its only Boeing B777-300ER on its scheduled flight from Ashgabat to Ho Chi Minh City on Thursdays. As of now, the airline has not scheduled any flight service to Ho Chi Minh City from April 2024.

Pacific Airlines suspends flight operations on 18 March 2024 to restructure. With only one A320 in its new livery, it will lease aircraft from parent company Vietnam Airlines in order to improve its operational capabilities.

Pacific Airlines began operations in April 1991. The airline no longer flies to Changi. Below are the previous memories of Pacific Airlines in flight in Singapore.

Hainan Airlines launches flight to Milan from Chongqing on 19 March 2024

At 1.53 am on 19 March 2024, Hainan Airlines' Chongqing-Milan direct flight HU427 took off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, marking the official opening of the first direct route from western China to Milan, Italy. This is the fourth direct international route to Europe opened by Hainan Airlines in Chongqing, following the Chongqing-Rome, Chongqing-Madrid and Chongqing-Paris international routes. The opening of the Chongqing-Milan international route will provide more convenient travel services for passengers from China and Italy.

In the afternoon of 18 March 2024, Hainan Airlines and Chongqing Airport Group held a flight opening ceremony at the T2 terminal of Jiangbei Airport. Staff from Hainan Airlines Chongqing Branch and Sales Department presented aircraft models, conversion sockets, packing tapes and other Hainan Airlines special gifts to passengers and representatives to celebrate the successful launch of the Chongqing-Milan route.

The Chongqing-Milan route will operate two round-trip flights per week starting from 19 March 2024, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The outbound flight is scheduled to take off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 2 am Beijing time and arrive in Milan at 6.45 am local time. The flight time is about 11 hours 45 minutes while the return flight is scheduled to take off at 11.15 am in Milan, and arrive at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 5 am the next day, the flight time is about 10 hours 45 minutes.

China Southern launches flight to Macau from Daxing on 1 April 2024

China Southern launches scheduled flight from Daxing to Macau on 1 April 2024 with its Airbus A321/A321neo aircraft.

On 1 April 2024, China Southern flight CZ8061 departs from Daxing for Macau at 11.35 am, touches down in macau at 2.55 pm before leaving Macau for Daxing at 3.55 pm and arriving in Daxing at 7.20 pm under flight CZ8062.

Initially, China Southern flies to Macau from Daxing on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at the above timings. From 25 April 2024, it flies daily on the new route.

New routes of West Air beside Changsha=Vientiane flights

West Air has launched the Changsha=Vientiane routes on 12 March 2024 with its A320. The counter for West Air in Vientiane Wattay Airport opens 2 hours 30 miuntes before departure and it closes 40 minutes before departure, ahead of the departure flights of Lao Airlines and Thai Airways to Suvarnabhumi on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Beside launching the Changsha-Vientiane route on 12 March 2024, West Air is constantly exploring new route development opportunities.

During summer 2024, West Air will launch the following routes:

Chongqing=Huizhou, Chongqing=Beihai, Hefei=Turpan, Jinan=Yinchuan, Nanjing=Luzhou and Zhuhai=Hefei=Hohhot.

Ikar launches flight to Changchun on 16 May 2024

Ikar, operating on behalf of Nordwind Airlines, launches once-weekly scheduled flight from Moscow Sheremetyevo (Sheremetyevo, in short) to Changchun on 16 May 2024 with its B777-200ER.

On 16 May 2024, Ikar flight EO4015 departs from Sheremetyevo for Changchun at 8.35 am, touches down in Changchun at 9 pm before leaving Changchun for Sheremetyevo at 11 pm and landing in Sheremetyevo at 2.10 am under flight EO4016.

Ikar flies to Changchun on Thursdays.

Fast-growing Cambodian airline, Cambodia Airways, launches direct scheduled flight from Phnom Penh to KLIA, Sepang, on 11 April 2024. The airline flies thrice a week to KLIA on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

On 11 April 2024, Cambodia Airways flight KR781 departs from Phnom Penh for KLIA at 1.20 pm, touches down in KLIA at 4.15 pm before leaving KLIA for Phnom Penh at 5.15 pm and arriving in Phnom Penh at 6.30 pm under flight KR782.

The above timings are effective for travel on Thursdays and Tuesdays.

On Sundays, flight KR781 leaves Phnom Penh for KLIA at 2.20 pm, arrives in KLIA at 5.15 pm before taking off from KLIA for Phnom Penh at 6.15 pm and landing in Phnom Penh at 7.35 pm under flight KR782.

Airbus A319 is utilized on this new route.

Juneyao Air launches scheduled flight from Pudong to Penang on 31 May 2024 with its A320 aircraft.

On 31 May 2024, according to schedules, Juneyao Air flight HO1365 flies to Penang from Pudong at 5.30 pm, touches down in Penang at 11 pm before leaving Penang for Pudong under flight HO1366 at 12.05 am on 1 June 2024 and arriving in Pudong at 5.25 am.

West Air launches flight to Vientiane on 12 March 2024

West Air, the Chongqing-based low-cost airline subsidiary of Hainan Airlines, has launched non-stop scheduled flight from Changsha to Vientiane on 12 March 2024 with its Airbus A320 aircraft.

On 12 March 2024, according to schedules, West Air flight PN6561 departs from Changsha for Vientiane at 2.55 pm, touches down in Vientiane at 4.45 pm before leaving Vientiane for Changsha at 5.55 pm and arriving in Changsha at 10.05 pm under flight PN6562.

On the actual day of 12 March 2024, flight PN6561 landed in Vientiane at 5.24 pm while flight PN6562 left Vientiane for Changsha at 6.15 pm.

The flight to Vientiane from Changsha is West Air's first international route from Changsha. 

West Air is not the first airline to link Changsha with Vientiane as Lao Airlines launches direct flight between both cities in 2023.

West Air flies to Vientiane from Changsha on Thursdays, Saturdays and Tuesdays.
