Berjaya Air resumes flights to Redang and Seletar on 1 February 2019

Berjaya Hotels & Resorts soft launches its airline subsidiary Berjaya Air to visitors and the media at ITB Asia 2018. Mr Choo Chun Fai, Assistant Director for Business Development of Berjaya Hotels & Resorts, said Berjaya Air is resuming flight from Redang Island to Seletar Airport of Singapore on 1 February 2019.  On the same day, domestic flight from Subang to Redang will also resume.



Acoording to plan and proposed schedules, Berjaya Air's new 36-seater ATR42-500 aircraft  in Beryjaya Air / The Taaras corporate livery will fly from Seletar to Redang within 1 hour 20 minutes while a domestic flight from Subang to Redang lasts 1 hour 15 minutes.



Berjaya Air's new domestic flight schedule with effective from 1 February 2019 is as follows:-

Flight from Subang departs for Redang at 10 am, arrives in Redang at 11.15 am before leaving Redang at 2 pm and touching down in Subang at 3.15 pm. Flights are operated on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays ad Saturdays.

The international flight to Seletar from Redang will follow the same operation days initially on a charter flight basis before upgrading to scheduled services, according to Mr Choo. Detailed flight schedules of the Redang - Seletar - Redang sectors will only be available after Seletar Airport Passenger Terminal re-opens to commercial traffic by end of 2018.

Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Berjaya Air withdrew from the Singapore travel market in 2014 due to management decision over fierce competition from Firefly and Tigerair for leisure travelers. During Singapore Air Show 2018, it signed the purchase order of 2 ATR 42-500s for the resumption flights to Redang and Seletar from Subang.
