Cambodia Angkor Air postpones Changi inaugural flight to 2 January 2024

The national airline of Cambodia, Cambodia Angkor Air, has postponed its intended inaugural flight to Changi from 31 October 2023 to 2 January 2024.

According to Cambodia Angkor Air's web-site, the airline flight K6750 departs from Phnom Penh for Changi on 2 January 2024 at 7.25 am, touches down in Changi at 10.20 am before leaving Changi for Phnom Penh at 11.30 am and arriving in Phnom Penh at 12.25 pm under flight K6751.

Cambodia Angkor Air flies to Changi on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with its A320 aircraft.

Vietnam Airlines launches flight to Don Mueang from Danang on 29 November 2023

On 30 October 2023, Vietnam Airlines announces that it is launching daily flight from Danang to Don Mueang on 29 November 2023.

On 29 November 2023, Vietnam Airlines flight VN629 departs from Danang for Don Mueang at 8 pm, touches down in Don Mueang at 9.40 pm before leaving Don Mueang for Danang at 5.05 am of 30 November 2023 and arriving in Danang at 6.45 am under flight VN628.

Vietnam Airlines flies to Don Mueang from Danang  with its A321 aircraft.

JATA Tourism Expo 2023 records 148,050 visitors

According to the organizer, a total of 148,050 visitors have patronized JATA Tourism Expo 2023, which is held in Intex Osaka, from 26 October 2023 to 29 October 2023.

The tourism exposition features exhibits that offer glimpses of the future of tourism for the next generation, and the event ended with great acclaim.

Drukair launches long-haul flight to Koror via Changi from Paro on 22 November 2023

Drukair launches long-haul flight from Paro to Koror via Changi on 22 November 2023

According to Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines web-site, Bhutan's national flag carrier departs from Paro for Koror via Changi on 22 November 2023 with its A320neo aircraft, marking Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines' long-haul flight entry.

On 22 November 2023, Drukair flight KB540 departs from Paro for Changi at 2.30 pm, touches down in Changi at 10.40 pm before leaving Changi for Koror airport, located on Babelthuap Island, Palau, at 12.20 am of 23 November 2023 and arriving in Koror at 6.40 am on the same day.

Then at 7.40 am of 23 November 2023, Drukair flight KB541 takes off from Koror for Paro via Changi at 7.40 am, transits in Changi at 11.30 am for Singapore-bound passengers to alight before leaving Changi for Paro at 12.30 pm and touching down in Paro at 4.45 pm local time.

The Paro-Changi flights of Drukair are operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays while Drukair flies to Koror from Changi on Thursdays and Sundays. Passengers bound for Paro leave Changi on Thursdays and Sundays as well.

The Changi-Koror-Changi flights of Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines are operated on behalf of Alii Palau Airlines, which does not have an aircraft of its own. Alii Palau Airlines is the new national airline of Palau.

Koror tickets available on Drukair web-site ahead of Alii Palau Airlines

To mark the commencement of Drukair's long-haul flight to the Pacific Ocean, Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines has started to sell the Changi-Koror-Changi tickets on its web-site www.drukair.com.bt starting 27 October 2023. The destination "Babelthuap Island (ROR)" represents Koror airport.

Alii Palau Airlines starts selling Drukair's tickets at www.flyaliipalau.pw from 30 October 2023.

Air Timor's flights using Drukair's A320neo to end, paving way for Aero Dili Timor-Leste's new flights to Changi

The new scheduled flights to Koror from Paro via Changi eventually replace the chartered flights of Air Timor using Drukair A320neo aircraft as the East Timor government is in the process of approving Aero Dili Timor-Leste to launch East Timor's flagship flights from Dili to Changi. 

Air Timor, which maintains office at Changi Airport, will end its flight services using Drukair aircraft on 20 December 2023, according to Druk Asia, the GSA of Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines in Singapore.

On 26 October 2023, ITA Airways exhibits at JATA Tourism Expo in Intex Osaka for the first time. The airline promotes its inflight services through the food menu and wine list, gives out airline logo cards and shows the aircraft model of its A350-900.

ITA Airways has no official inflight magazine, no aircraft postcard and no system-wide timetables.

According to ITA Airways, the airline's A350-900 flies five times a week from Rome to Haneda beginning 29 October 2023, on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with flight AZ792 departing from Rome for Haneda at 3.05 pm, touching down in Haneda at 11.20 am.

Then, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, flight AZ793 leaves Haneda for Rome at 1.20 pm and arrives in Rome at 8.15 pm.

ITA Airways flies daily to Haneda from 28 February 2024

ITA Airways flies daily between Rome and Haneda from 28 February 2024 with flight AZ792 departing from Rome for Haneda at 3.05 pm, touching down in Haneda at 11.20 am before leaving Haneda for Rome at 1.20 pm  and landing in Rome at 8.15 pm under flight AZ793.

Beginning 30 March 2024, flight AZ792 departs from Rome for Haneda at 3.10 pm, arrives in Haneda at 10.40 am and departs for Rome from Haneda at 12.40 pm and arriving in Haneda at 8.25 pm.

Marking its 25th Anniversary in the air and on the ground under the motto "YOUR WING.", Skymark Airlines has re-designed and kept barf bags and safety cards onboard its flights, ensuring that no one can remove them from the aircraft. 

Inflight menu-wise, free KitKat chocolates are distributed onboard free-of-charge but onion soup costs 100 Yen.

Hardcopies of Skymark Airlines' new monthly inflight magazine Sora No Ashiato, Skymark Airlines face masks and Timetables are distributed on complimentary basis to customers and passengers onboard and on the ground. 

Skymark Airlines is the Japanese airline that is very friendly towards inflight magazine fans. The aviation media hope that the airline can maintain the demeanour to attract new customers and fans.

MIAT Mongolian Airlines brings tourism contingent to Narita with 787-9 Dreamliner on 25 October 2023

Since the debut flight of MIAT Mongolian Airlines' 787-9 Dreamliner to Narita on 18 October 2023, The Mongolian national flag carrier has operated second 787-9 Dreamliner flight to Narita on 25 October 2023 and during this time, a large tourism contingent of travel agents has arrived in Osaka via Narita for Japan's largest travel market event, JATA Tourism Expo.

The JATA Tourism Expo 2023 is held in Intex Osaka from 26 to 29 October 2023.

MIAT Mongolian Airlines plans Dreamliner flight to Incheon in April 2024

At JATA Tourism Expo, MIAT Mongolian Airlines staff revealed to the reporter that the airline has no plans yet to launch non-stop direct flight to Singapore Changi with the Dreamliner in 2024. The airline's plan is to deploy the Dreamliner on flights to and from Incheon in April 2024.

MIAT wants to be OneWorld's airline member

MIAT also revealed that the airline is in the progress of joining OneWorld as accreditated member. So far, Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines have approved MIAT Mongolian Airlines' membership. The airline has to wait for another key major operator's approval in order to join the airline alliance.
