On 24 October 2018, Spring Airlines' first Airbus A320neo flew from Toulouse, France, to Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The aircraft is equipped with a LEAP-1A engine and in a 186 cabin layout.

The A320neo is a variety of product upgrades introduced by Airbus for the A320 family of aircraft. Its main features include the addition of a new engine and the assembly of large shark fins.

Compared with the current A320, the A320neo aircraft series can reduce fuel consumption by 20 per cent in a single seat, which is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 5,000 tons per A320neo per year. Compared with the previous generation aircraft, it can also reduce noise footprint by nearly 50 per cent.

On 3 December 2015, Spring Airlines signs the Aircraft Purchase Agreement with Airbus to purchase 60 Airbus A320neo aircraft, including 45 Airbus A320neo aircraft and 15 Airbus A321neo aircraft from Airbus. These jets will raise the airline's capacity level, effectively improve the airline's operating efficiency and market competitiveness, in line with the company's strategic goals and fleet planning objectives.

Currently, Spring Airlines has a fleet of 80 A320-200 jets operating domestic and international flights.
