ITB Asia airline exhibitor, Garuda Indonesia, has announced on 17 October 2018 that its B737-800 launches direct flight from Singapore to Bandung on 2 December 2018, besides the planned Tanjung Pandan - Singapore inaugural scheduled flight of its Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft on 29 October 2018.
The B737-800 operates flights between Singapore and Bandung on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
On 2 December 2018, Garuda Indonesia flight GA845 departs from Singapore for Bandung at 11 am, touches down in Bandung at 12 pm local time before leaving Bandung for Singapore at 12.50 pm and arriving in Singapore at 3.55 pm under flight GA844.
The airline said it has been approved by the civil aviation authorities of Singapore and Indonesia two days ago to operate the flights between Singapore and Bandung. Return air tickets from 195 Singapore Dollars including taxes are now on sale at Garuda Indonesia's Singapore web-site. Bandung air ticket and tour packages will be marketed and sold to the public at the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair from 19 to 21 October 2018 at Suntec City East Atrium, its Singapore office and travel agencies.
Garuda Indonesia also informs the media that its newly-acquired B737 MAX 8 aircraft has been serving the Singapore travel market since August 2018 on the Jakarta route pairs GA834 (SIN - CGK: 1.45 pm - 4.35 pm) / GA835 (CGK - SIN: 5.40 pm - 6.30 pm). It will continue the flight services until end of November 2018.
Its B737 MAX 8 features Business Class seats with 51 inch seat pitch, 13 inch Panasonic touch-screen IFE, foot rest, in-seat charging and USB port while its Economy Class seat pitch is 30 inches. With an in-seat USB port each Economy Class has 10 inch Panasonic touch-screen IFE. Both Business Class and Economy Class seats have four ways adjustable head rests.
Singapore - Labuan Bajo travel packages (with connecting flight in Jakarta or Denpasar) that include visits to Komodo National Park, trekking at Padar Island, Kelar Island and snorkeling at Pink Beach and Singapore - Surabaya (explore Mount Bromo) packages are also marketed by Garuda Indonesia at ITB Asia 2018, besides the Belitung air fare and travel packages.
