India's Star Air, that has received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate General Civil Aviation (DGCA) on 1 January 2019, is launching its inaugural scheduled domestic flight in India on 25 January 2019. Its first route is Bengaluru - Hubballi and is followed by Hubballi - Tirupati. On 5 February 2019, it commences scheduled flight from Bengaluru to Belgavi in India. All its passenger scheduled flights are operated by its first Embraer EMB145 aircraft with a seat cabin layout of 2x2.
On 25 January 2019, Star Air flight OG101 departs from Bengaluru for Hubballi at 7.35 am, arrives in Hubballi at 8.35 am before leaving from Hubballi for Bengaluru at 11.45 am and touching down in Bengaluru at 12.45 pm under flight OG102.
On the same day of 25 January 2019, flight OG103 takes off from Hubballi for Tirupati at 8.55 am, touches down in Tirupati at 10 am before leaving Tirupati for Hubballi at 10.20 am and returning to Hubballi at 11.25 am under flight OG104.
The above flights are effective on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays to Saturdays while on Tuesdays, flight OG101 departs from Bengaluru for Hubballi at 9.40 am and OG102 returns to Bengaluru at 3.50 pm. On Tuesdays, flight OG103 leaves Hubballi at 11.20 am and OG104 returns to Hubballi at 2.05 pm.
On 5 February 2019, flight OG105 leaves Bengaluru for Belgavi at 4.30 pm, arrives in Belgavi at 5.050 pm before taking off from Belgavi at 6 pm and landing in Bengaluru at 7.05 pm under flight OG106. These schedules are for Tuesday flights.
On other days of the week, flight OG105 leaves Bengaluru for Belgavi at 1.25 pm for arrival in Belgavi at 2.30 pm before OG106 takes off from Belgavi for Bengaluru at 3 pm and arrives in Bengaluru at 4.05 pm.
Star Air, which initially started operating helicopter charter flights in 2005 as Ghodawat Aviation with a Eurocopter EC120, is the low-cost airline subsidiary of Sanjay Ghodawat Group, an Indian conglomerate also engaged in diversified industries such as mining, food processing, realty, consumer products, energy, textile and education with over 10000 employees. Its Founder and Chairman is Sanjay Ghodawat.
