A few days ago, passengers flying to London on Singapore Airlines flight SQ322 incidentally found an unusual travel companion in the cabin: a starling.
The video posted on the Facebook account @fabricationsAboutThePAP shows that a starling is on a seat in the Business Class, as if it was just an ordinary day. From time to time, it looked left and right, as if to say "Hello" to the passengers around. The male passenger who was closest to him wore headphones, and did not notice that the starling was "sitting" on the back row.
Singapore Airlines said the aircraft had flown for 12 hours before the discovery of the starling. The bird might have quietly entered the cabin when the plane was docked on the ground, hidden in a dark corner (such as the overhead rack), so no one found it until the plane flew high. Later, due to the elevation and the lowering of the air pressure, the starling jumped out to grasp for breath.
In the video, an air steward tried to catch the uninvited guest, but the bird was scared and flew away. After the plane landed in London, the bird who joined the flight was finally "arrested" and handed over to the local animal quarantine agency.
A Twitter user Ms Wong forwarded the news and commented, "This is a VIB (Very Important Bird) passenger."
