Cebu Pacific Air, the largest low-cost carrier in the Philippines has taken delivery of its first A321neo aircraft on 21 January 2019.
The Philippine airline has ordered 32 A321neo aircraft directly from Airbus, and will receive another five A320neo leased from Dublin-based Avolon Company. These new aircraft will support the carrier’s route network expansion and fleet renewal programme in Asia-Pacific.
The A321neo aircraft of Cebu Pacific Air features 236 seats in a single class configuration. The aircraft is powered by Pratt and Whitney PurePower GTF engines.
With the arrival of the A321neo, Cebu Pacific Air Group, which comprises Cebu Pacific Air and Cebgo, has a fleet of total 72 aircraft including 43 A320 family aircraft, eight A330-300 widebody aircraft, one A321ceo, 7 ATR 72-500 and 13 ATR 72-600 aircraft.
