Air India Express launches flight from Sharjah to Surat on 16 February 2019

Air India Express' B737-800 aircraft launches scheduled flight from Sharjah to Surat on 16 February 2019.

On 16 February 2019, Air India Express flight IX172 departs from Sharjah for Surat at 7.35 pm, arrives in Surat at 11.45 pm before leaving Surat for Sharjah at 12.30 am on 17 February 2019 and touching down in Sharjah at 2.15 am under flight IX171.

Air India Express flies to Surat from Sharjah on Saturdays and Mondays and returns to Sharjah on Sundays and Tuesdays.

Sharjah is the cultural and arts capital of the United Arab Emirates and Islam. Well-known tourist destinations in Sharjah include Sharjah National Park, Al Noor Island, Arabian Wildlife Center, Gold Souq, Al Majaz Waterfront and its heritage museums. It is one of the overseas bases of Air India Express.

Surat is the world's hub for diamond cutting and polishing and it is famous for its silk fabric and cotton mills and popular for its handmade arts and crafts. It is Air India Express' thirteenth Indian destination.
