VietJet Air launches inaugural flight from Singapore to Can Tho on 26 October 2020

Singapore Changi Airport welcomes VietJet Air's first scheduled flight to Can Tho, a western city in Vietnam, on 26 October 2020. 

On 26 October 2020, after VietJet Air flight VJ2588 landed in Changi Airport at 10.49 am, it departed for Can Tho at 1 pm under flight VJ2589 after an hour's delay.

According to schedules, flight VJ2588 departs from Ho Chi Minh City for Singapore at 8 am, arrives in Changi Airport at 11 am before flight VJ2589 takes off for Can Tho from Singapore at 12 pm and arrives in Can Tho at 12.42 pm.

Singapore is Can Tho Airport's third overseas destination after Incheon and Taoyuan, airports that are served by VietJet Air.

Can Tho is well-known  for its floating markets, tropical fruits such as dragonfruit, mangosteen and pomelo, Bang Lang Stork Sanctuary, temples, pagodas, Southeast Asia's longest cable-stayed bridge Can Tho Bridge and Can Tho City Museum. Other than flights, the city is connected to Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc by hydrofoil ferries.
