Developments at Delta Airlines, Vietravel Airlines and Uganda Airlines

Latest news on Delta Airlines

Airbus has delivered to Delta Airlines its first A220 jet that was assembled in Mobile, Alabama. The final assembly line of the Mobile A220 series aircraft started construction in January 2019 and was put into production in August 2019. The first A220 aircraft completed the final assembly here made its first flight in June 2020. Delta Airlines has ordered 95 A220 series aircraft.

Latest news on Vietravel Airlines

The Prime Minister of Vietnam agreed to the Ministry of Transport to issue an air transport business license to Vietravel Airlines. Vietravel Airlines plans to use A320/A321 or B737 aircraft for operations. The number of aircraft in operation in the first year will be 3, and it will gradually increase to 8 aircraft in the next five years.

Latest news on Uganda Airlines

On 21 October 2020, Uganda Airlines published on Facebook and announced its first Airbus A330neo aircraft has completed livery painting. It did not state when exactly it is receiving the new aircraft for operations in December 2020. However, it mentions it has plans to re-start scheduled flight to Dubai and in 2021 launch long-haul flight to Guangzhou from Entebbe. It will re-start regional services to Johannesburg, Harare and Kinshasa likely in November 2020.
