Skymark Airlines launches three routes to Miyako on 25 October 2020

Skymark Airlines, one of Japan's low-cost carriers, has launched three new routes to Shimojishima Airport, Miyako, Japan, on 25 October 2020. The new routes are Haneda - Shimojishima, Kobe - Shimojishima and Naha - Shimojishima. All flights to Shimojishima are operated by its B737-800 aircraft.

On 25 October 2020, the first Skymark Airlines flight to Miyako, BC163 departs from Kobe at 10.40 am, touches down in Shimojishima at 1.20 pm before leaving Shimojishima for Kobe at 2.10 pm and arriving in Kobe, near Osaka, at 7.15 pm under flight BC164.

There are two flights per day between Naha and Miyako.

The second Skymark Airlines flight to Miyako, BC541, leaves Naha for Shimojishima at 11 am, lands in Miyako at 12.05 pm before departing from Shimojishima for Naha at 12.40 pm and touching down in Kobe at 1.30 pm under flight BC542.

The second Skymark Airlines flight between Naha and Miyako leaves Shimojishima for Naha at 3.15 pm under flight BC546, arrives in Naha at 4.05 pm before taking off for Miyako at 5 pm and landing in Shimojishima at 5.55 pm.

On 25 October 2020, flight BC613 takes off from Haneda for Shimojishima at 11.05 am, arrives in Shimojishima at 2.35 pm before departing from Shimojishima for Haneda at 6.45 pm and touching down in Haneda at 9.25 pm under flight BC618.

The above flights are operated daily.

Skymark Airlines and other Japanese airlines are operating commercially during the pandemic. According to the airline, passengers onboard are given free masks until 31 October 2020 to wear and complimentary beverages throughout the flights. Due to a looming shortage of face masks, passengers are advised to bring and wear their masks when they check-in for their flights from 1 November 2020.
