Cargolux now owned partially by China

Cargolux Airlines International, one of many cargo airlines that operates regular flights to Singapore from Luxembourg, is now 35% owned by Henan Civil Aviation Development Investment Co., Ltd., China. The two sides are further determined to promote the dual-hub strategy between Luxembourg and Zhengzhou, thus promoting air logistics business between the two countries.

Cargolux is established as a cargo subsidiary of Luxair, the national airline of Luxembourg in March 1970. Other initial partners include the Salen Shipping Group, Loftleiðir, and various private interests in Luxembourg. It celebrates 50 years of cargo flight operations in March 2020.

Besides Singapore and Zhengzhou, Cargolux flies to Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Suvarnabhumi, Hong Kong, Xiamen, Beijing, Incheon, Ho Chi Minh City, Komatsu, Karachi, Mumbai, Chennai, Almaty, Ashgabat, Sharjah, Dubai, Muscat, Dammam, Doha, Riyadh, Kuwait, Bahrain, Amman and Beirut in Asia with 30 B747 family aircraft.
