American Airlines operates flight to Daxing from 27 March 2021 when Dallas - Beijing flight resumes

According to American Airlines' official website, when the Dallas-Beijing flight resumes on 27 March 2021, American Airlines will transfer from the Capital Airport to Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX), the world's largest airport. This route will be operated by Boeing 787-8 and ticket purchase is confirmed to open on 12 October 2020 (Monday).

American Airlines Chief Revenue Officer Vasu Raja said that the relocation to Daxing Airport will allow code-sharing flight arrangement with its strategic partner for the convenience of passengers. He said, "Although there are many uncertainties in the tourism industry, we hope to be prepared to provide customers, shareholders and team members with the best services, conveniences and products around the world. Daxing Airport is an important player of this bright future."

In November 2018, China Southern Airlines and American Airlines signed a code-sharing cooperation expansion agreement, frequent flyer cooperation agreement, and a Memorandum Of Understanding on lounge cooperation in Guangzhou. In 2019, the two parties will operate code-sharing flights on the Guangzhou - Los Angeles, Guangzhou - San Francisco, Wuhan - San Francisco,  Guangzhou - New York, Shenyang - Los Angeles, and 9 Sino-US trunk routes, including Dallas - Beijing, Dallas - Pudong, Los Angeles - Beijing and Los Angeles-Pudong operated by American Airlines.
