According to the announcement of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Tashkent on 11 September 2018, the Uzbekistan Customs and Immigration only allows passengers of Uzbekistan Airways to enter the Central Asia country without tourist entry visas.
This is because Uzbekistan Airways is able to forward the tourist data to the country's Customs and Immigration prior to arrival of the flights in Tashkent.
Uzbekistan Customs and Immigration does not have access to the individual data of non-Uzbekistan airline passengers. Therefore, passengers arriving in Tashkent from other countries with non-Uzbekistan airlines such as Aeroflot Russian Airlines, Air Astana and British Airways are still required to produce entry visas before they can be admitted.
On 15 July 2018, the Uzbekistan Government grants citizens of 101 countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the US, South Korea, Japan and China the right to transit in Uzbekistan without entry visas if they are only on transit for 5 days or less with onward tickets to their third-country destinations.
