On 22 September 2018, Royal Brunei Airlines announced in Bandar Seri Begawan on the auspicious ceremony of the unveiling of its A320neo Brunei Tourism livery that the new A320neo aircraft will operate on its new route to Narita which commences on 15 March 2019.
On 15 March 2019, Royal Brunei flight BI695 departs from Bandar Seri Begawan for Narita at 12.35 am, touches down in Narita at 7.30 am before leaving Narita for Bandar Seri Begawan at 12 pm and arriving in Bandar Seri Begawan at 5.25 pm under flight BI696.
Flights between Narita and Bandar Seri Begawan are carried out on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Royal Brunei Airlines also announced that the A320neo aircraft will launch new routes to Haikou and Changsha. The first Bandar Seri Begawan - Haikou scheduled flight service is launched on 22 November 2018 while the first flight to Changsha from Bandar Seri Begawan takes off on 15 January 2019. The flights to both Chinese cities are operated twice weekly. No further schedule and ticketing details are available at the meantime.
