On 21 September 2018, Chongqing Airlines receives its first Airbus A320neo aircraft registered B-302J. The aircraft on lease from BOC Aviation left Hamburg for delivery to Chongqing Airlines on 20 September 2018 and arrived in Chongqing on 21 September.
The new aircraft will operate on high-density routes to Guangzhou and Shenzhen from Chongqing.
Chongqing Airlines has an independent additional order of 6 A320neo aircraft, also on lease from BOC Aviation based in Singapore.
