Juneyao Air will usher in the "Boeing 787 era" in October 2018 as it plans to receive its first B787-9 Dreamliner in mid-October. This is the first time that a private airline of China, excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, is receiving long-range wide-body aircraft after the B787-9 performs its first test flight in the US on 25 September 2018. At the same time, it will continue to launch new routes from Pudong.

The cabin design of Juneyao's Dreamliner is ahead of the industry: Business Class is in a "1-2-1" layout with a 42-inch full-flat Thompson Vantage XL seat and a 18-inch Panasonic next-generation entertainment system. The Recaro CL3710 seat has the nine-way adjustment seat headrest. Passengers will be able to enjoy the warm long-distance flight with the auspicious “warm dream” theme lighting design in the cabin, the 12-inch high-definition entertainment system and independent USB interface.

The first Boeing B787-9 of Juneyao Air is scheduled to be put into the flight operations of the Pudong-Sanya round-trip route by late October 2018. The future B787-9 aircraft may also be used to open long-haul direct flights to Singapore, the US, Europe and Australia from Pudong in the future and the standard new livery of Juneyao Air aircraft looks like this:-
