On 27 September 2018, the first international flight ceremony of Longhao Airlines Xi'an Xianyang - Hanoi freight route was held at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport. Important VIPs including Party Secretary of the Airport Management Committee of Xi'an New District, Shaanxi Province, Director of the Management Committee He Jian and relevant officers of Longhao Airlines attended the inaugural flight ceremony. The route is the 13th cargo route and the first international cargo route of Longhao Airlines.
Longhao Airlines has developed rapidly. It has obtained international regional operation qualifications only after one and a half years of flight operations. The international cargo route opened this time was opened by Longhao Airlines in cooperation with the Airport New Town Management Committee of Xixian New District of Shaanxi Province and Western Airport Group Co., Ltd. The route will be combined with Xi'an's advantageous resources of tourism, military, aerospace, technology research and development and higher education, with high value-added products such as electronic components, semiconductors and chips as sources of supply.
In the future, Longhao Airlines Xi'an Xianyang - Hanoi frieght route will further enhance Xi'an's ability to import international goods such as higher value-added products and fresh seafood and fruits from Southeast Asia, effectively promoting Xianyang Airport as an international cargo hub.
Since the "One Belt, One Road" initiative was put forward, the western region of China has ushered in a new opportunity for opening up to the outside world.
In order to meet the growing demand for cargo transportation in Xi'an and surrounding areas, Longhao Airlines and Xi'an Municipal Government have cooperated in many times to launch cargo routes. On 25 July 2017, Longhao Airlines launches the regular freight route of Xi'an Xianyang - Guangzhou. On 18 June 2018, the domestic cargo route of Xi'an Xianyang - Xining is launched, facilitating cargo exchanges between the two major cities of the Silk Road. The opening of the two routes will effectively link the three important node cities on the “Belt and Road” to give full play to the advantages of Xi'an, which is “open to the west, to the east, and to the whole country”.
At present, Longhao Airlines has a professionally capable transportation team, that will continue to be deeply integrated into the “Belt and Road” construction and further strengthen the trade and circulation of high value-added air cargo in the northwest, ASEAN and North China, and boost the freighter operations of Xianyang Airport. It will continue to seize opportunities to expand space and build an air cargo network system covering the whole country, radiating Southeast Asia and even the world.
