As a historic record, SpiceJet launches daily scheduled flight from Guwahati in northeast India to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on 1 July 2019 using Dash 8 Q400 aircraft.
On 1 July 2019, SpiceJet flight SG78 departs from Guwahati for Dhaka at 11.55 am, arrives in Dhaka at 1.20 pm before leaving Dhaka for Guwahati at 2.10 pm and touching down in Guwahati at 2.35 pm under flight SG79.
The new international flight is SpiceJet's first overseas route in 2019. Meanwhile, the Indian airline is awaiting Boeing permission for 737 MAX 8 takeoff in July 2019 although it is seeking financial compensation from Boeing as a result of the grounding of its 737 MAX 8 fleet.
