On 5 May 2019, CAAC approved at least four foreign airlines to launch future flights to Chinese cities. These airlines include Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Myanmar Airways International and Egyptair.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines plans to launch future cargo/passenger flights to Guangzhou and Kunming from Dhaka.
Myanmar Airways International intends to begin flights from Yangon to Hangzhou, and from Mandalay to Hangzhou and Zhengzhou.
Egyptair plans to launch the Cairo - Pudong new route.
On 24 May 2019, CAAC approved Spring Japan's application to launch flight from Narita to Beijing.
