Genghis Khan Airlines undergoing test flights is expected to launch scheduled flights in July 2019

Genghis Khan Airlines, whose public air transport enterprise business license was granted to on 22 January 2019, has completed its first verification test flight on 4 June 2019. 

On 4 June 2019, Genghis Khan Airlines flight 9D5671 departs from Hohhot for Ulanhot at 8.30 pm and touches down in Ulanhot at 9.39 pm successfully.  It leaves Ulanhot for Hohhot at 9.40 pm.

From 5 to 10 June 2019, Genghis Khan Airlines is conducting test flights on the routes, Hohhot - Ulanhot and Hohhot - Xilinhot. It is expected to operate its first scheduled flight on the routes in early July 2019. 

According to China Aviation Daily, Member of the Xing'an League Committee, Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Office, Wei Weiwei, Chairman of Genghis Khan Airlines Hao Yutao, Vice President of  Genghis Khan Airlines Bai Yumeng and officials of Ulanhot Airport attended the verification flight ceremony.


Approved by CAAC on company set-up in March 2018, Genghis Khan Airlines now has two ARJ21-700 aircraft. The second aircraft named "Inner Mongolia Bank" was delivered to the Inner Mongolia airline's Hohhot headquarters on 4 June 2019 as well.  It aims to own a total of 4 ARJ21-700 aircraft by year end.

The ARJ21-700 aircraft has a two-cabin configuration of 8 Super Economy Class seats and 70 Economy Class seats. Each seat is equipped with a USB charging port. It achieves high temperature, high cold and high altitude performance, and is especially suitable for take-off and landing conditions in the complex route obstacles of China's central and western regions.
