According to Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Group, it has taken up a stake in Guangzhou-based cargo airline, Longhao Airlines, restructured and renamed it as China Central Longhao Airlines, which owns both operational hubs in Guangzhou and Zhengzhou.
The name China Central Longhao Airlines is officially introduced to the Chinese media on 14 June 2019 when a revised B737F livery of Longhao Airlines showing the Chinese characters for China Central Longhao (中原龙浩) took off for Guangzhou from Zhengzhou on the first cargo flight.
Negotiations among Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Group, Guangdong Longhao Aviation Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Longhao Group Co., Ltd. began in December 2018. On 18 May 2019, the parties signed the agreement permitting Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Group to own a controlling stake in Longhao Airlines, restructuring and renaming it as China Central Longhao Airlines.
On 30 May 2019, Longhao Airlines is officially renamed as China Central Longhao Airlines and receives its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from CAAC.
The original Longhao Airlines officially started cargo operations in Guangzhou in 2017 with its inaugural scheduled cargo flight departing from Guangzhou to Nantong on 29 March 2017. Subsequent routes were launched from Guangzhou to Hangzhou, Xi'an Xianyang, Wuxi, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Quanzhou and Linyi. It has a fleet of 3 B737-300 freighter aircraft with two additional orders, 1 B737-400 freighter aircraft and 10 Harbin Y-12 aircraft on orders.
