Urumqi Air launches its first regular scheduled international flight to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4 from Urumqi, via Wuhan, on 18 May 2019 using its B737-800. The direct flight to Irkutsk from Urumqi is seasonal, the airline clarified.
Before entering the flights, passengers are informed at check-in counters that maximum carry-on baggage weight is 5 kg. Checked-in luggage handed over to the Urumqi airport counters are towed all the way to Changi Airport. Passengers are not required to retrieve the checked-in luggage at Wuhan airport and check-in again for the flight to Singapore.
During the journeys, passengers are either served with complimentary Halal chicken rice or seafood noodles and beverages. There is a pack of Hubei Xiangyang-originated kohlrabi sauce in the chicken rice box. Peel the pack of kohlrabi sauce carefully or it will spill over and stain one's shirt.
On the inaugural flight to Singapore, the cheerful air stewardesses took pictures with delighted passengers during their break time.
Small wake-up cards are given to passengers who wished to keep them as souvenirs.
The inflight magazines, High Above and Air Carnival, available free for passengers are in good condition only. There are no perfect inflight magazines in the crew's cabin item storage compartment.
Blankets are provided free upon request to passengers. Birthday cards are given to passengers whose birthdays are the same as their flight dates.
Evaluating on the services provided so far on the inaugural flight to Singapore, Urumqi Air is a three-star airline.
Flight UQ2661 landed in Wuhan from Urumqi at 1.50 pm, 10 minutes earlier than the intended time at 2 pm, on 18 May 2019. It departed for Changi at 4.10 pm and successfully arrived in Changi Airport Terminal 4 at 9.15 pm to a rousing welcome by the officials of Changi Airport, CAAS, invited sales agents and media after the lion dance.

According to schedules, UQ2661 leaves Urumqi for Singapore at 9.45 am, arrives in Wuhan at 2 pm before leaving Wuhan for Changi Airport at 4.10 pm and touching down in Changi Airport Terminal 4 at 9.15 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
At 10.40 pm, flight UQ2662 departs from Terminal 4 for Wuhan, transits in Wuhan at 3.40 am on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays before taking off from Wuhan for Urumqi at 5.40 am and landing in Urumqi at 9.55 am.
