According to AirAsia, it has offered to acquire Jetstar Asia following Jetstar Asia's announcement to cease operations on 31 July 2025. The acquisition proposal aims to save around 500 jobs and maintain low-cost travel options in Singapore. AirAsia plans to integrate Jetstar Asia's operations into its larger network, leveraging its operational efficiencies and network to revitalize the low-cost travel market in Singapore.
