Urumqi Air launches flight to Hong Kong via Zhengzhou on 26 December 2022

Urumqi Air, a subsidiary of HNA Airlines, plans to officially launch a regular passenger route from Urumqi to Hong Kong via Zhengzhou from 26 December 2022. This is the first international and regional scheduled passenger route newly opened by Urumqi Air during the pandemic. 

The Urumqi=Zhengzhou=Hong Kong route is planned to have a B737-800 round-trip flight every Monday.

On 26 December 2022, Urumqi Air outbound flight UQ2651 takes off from Urumqi at 7.35 am and transits in Zhengzhou at 11.30 am before taking off from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport at 1 pm and arriving in Hong Kong at 3.35 pm.

Return flight UQ2652 departs from Hong Kong International Airport at 4.35 pm and arrives in Zhengzhou at 7.10 pm before leaving Zhengzhou for Urumqi at 9 pm and touching down in Urumqi at 1.25 am on 27 December 2022. 

All timings according to schedules are estimated and are subject to change due to air traffic condition.

As a practitioner of the "Belt and Road" initiative, Urumqi Air actively responds to the call of the state and party and government agencies at all levels, and continues to develop domestic and international routes connecting with the Urumqi hub airport. 

The launch of the Urumqi=Zhengzhou=Hong Kong route will provide convenience for the people of Urumqi, Zhengzhou and Hong Kong to travel, and actively promote the sharing of prosperity, progress, openness, exchanges and friendship among the three cities. 

Urumqi Air also plans to gradually resume international and regional routes to Singapore and Japan and increase the number of Hong Kong and other international and regional routes, thus providing strong impetus for regional economic prosperity.
