Shenzhen Airlines recently took delivery of its first Airbus A321neo aircraft in Hamburg, Germany, becoming the latest domestic airline to operate the aircraft. On 7 December 2022, Shenzhen Airlines' first A321neo aircraft was officially commissioned and put into passenger operation.
Shenzhen Airlines' A321neo aircraft is equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF™ (PW1100G-JM) geared engines, and adopts a comfortable three-class cabin layout with a total of 184 seats, including 12 full-flat business class seats, 18 comfortable economy class seats and 154 economy class seats.
The A321neo aircraft is the largest member of the A320neo Family aircraft family and features a new generation of engines and Sharklets. Compared with the previous generation aircraft, the fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emission of the A320neo series aircraft can be reduced by at least 20%, and the noise is reduced by 50%. Since entering service, the A320neo family of aircraft has played a key role in leading the decarbonization of aviation. As of the end of October 2022, the A320neo series has received more than 8,600 confirmed orders from more than 130 customers around the world.
