On 18 December 2022, TransNusa takes receipt of its first China-made ARJ21-700 aircraft.

This is the first time a Chinese jetliner has entered an overseas market.

The ARJ21 aircraft delivered to TransNusa this time has a 95-seat all-economy class layout. The cabin interior, passenger seats and exterior painting are all customized by the customer, and the passenger seats are made of full leather seat fabric. The fuselage of the aircraft is printed with the Indonesian flag pattern, and the exterior painting is designed based on the colour tone of the logo of TransNusa. Blue represents the sky, yellow represents human beings, and green represents the earth.

As the largest economy in ASEAN, Indonesia is one of the fastest-growing civil aviation markets in the world. It has many islands and is suitable for the operation of regional airliners. Founded in 2005 with a fleet of ATR42-500, ATR72-600 aircraft and headquartered in Jakarta, TransNusa has been a low-cost airline since February 2022 with a fleet of  2 A320, 1 A320neo and now 1 ARJ21-700 aircraft. It mainly operates domestic flights from Jakarta to Yogyakarta and Denpasar. Through efficient management methods and advanced operating systems, it provides passengers with safe and comfortable flight services.
