Singapore Airlines launches flight to Tianfu on 28 March 2023

Singapore Airlines launches direct flight to Chengdu Tianfu on 28 March 2023 with its Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

On 28 March 2023, Singapore Airlines flight SQ842 departs from Changi for Tianfu at 9.50 am, touches down in Tianfu at 2.35 pm before leaving Tianfu for Changi at 3.50 pm and arriving in Changi at 8.45 pm under flight SQ843.

Singapore Airlines flies to Tianfu on Tuesdays only. Prior to the change in airport operations, the airline has been flying to Chengdu Shuangliu since 11 October 2022.

With both Sichuan Airlines and Singapore Airlines operating flights between Changi and Tianfu, only Air China continues to fly to Shuangliu, the traditional gateway to Chengdu and southwest China. 

Sichuan Airlines is the first flight operator of the Tianfu-Changi route on 26 March 2023.
