Emirates unveils its new fleet livery on 16 March 2023.
Sir Tim Clark, Emirates' President, said, "Aircraft livery is the most recognizable brand asset for any airline. It is a visual expression of our unique identity and we proudly feature it on our aircraft and Displaying it in all the cities around the world we fly to. We are updating our livery to keep it modern without losing key elements of our brand, such as the UAE flag graphic and Arabic calligraphy on the rear wing.”
In the latest design, the UAE flag pattern on Emirates' tail wing has become more dynamic and smooth through the artistic design of 3D effects. The wingtips are painted red and the Arabic calligraphy of the Emirates logo is rendered in contrasting white. Passengers sitting by windows on board will see the colours of the UAE flag painted on the wingtips facing the fuselage.
The iconic golden "Emirates" lettering in English and Arabic on the fuselage is also more prominent, 32.5% larger. On the belly of the plane, Emirates has retained its signature red branding introduced in 2005. The website URL "Emirates.com" has been removed from the design.
This is the third iteration of Emirates' official aircraft branding colours. The original livery, introduced when the airline was founded in 1985, was first updated 14 years later at the 1999 Dubai Airshow with the delivery of Emirates' first Boeing 777-300.

The first aircraft to wear Emirates' latest livery is the A6-EOE, an Airbus A380 that was unveiled this week by Emirates Engineering after a refit. Its debut is scheduled for 17 March 2023 on flight EK51 to Munich.
The new livery will be gradually applied to Emirates' existing fleet. Twenty-four aircraft, including 17 Boeing 777s, are expected to adopt the new livery by the end of 2023. All new Emirates aircraft will feature the new livery, starting with the first Airbus A350 entering the fleet in August 2024.
The original Emirates livery in 1985 is created by British design firm Negus&Negus. All of the airline's subsequent aircraft colours were created by its in-house design team. Over the years, Emirates' many colourful and eye-catching aircraft livery have included custom designs to drive sponsor brand associations and for special occasions such as Emirates Liveries for the 50th Anniversary and Expo 2020 Dubai.
