FireFly running ATR flight to Seletar launches flight from Penang to Changi on 26 March 2023

FireFly, that currently operates ATR shuttle flights from Subang to Seletar (above), is launching direct scheduled flight from Penang to Changi with its retrofitted Boeing B737-800 aircraft on 26 March 2023. There are two daily flights on this route.

According to schedules, FireFly flight FY3662 is the first Penang-Changi flight. It takes off from Penang for Changi at 10 am, touches down in Changi Terminal 2 at 11.40 am before leaving Changi for Penang at 12.40 pm and arriving in Penang at 2.15 pm under flight FY3663.

The second Penang-Changi flight of FireFly, FY3664, leaves Penang at 6.35 pm, lands in Changi at 8.15 pm before taking off from Changi for Penang at 9.15 pm and touching down in Penang at 10.50 pm under flight FY3665.

FireFly first starts jet operation with the B737-800 on 1 July 2011 with a flight from Subang to Sibu and the Boeing service was terminated when the airline's jet operations were merged with Malaysia Airlines. Its B737-800 flight service resumes on 25 January 2021 and Changi is the second international destination of the airline's hub in Penang after Kualanamu, the airport of Medan in Indonesia.
