All Nippon Airways (ANA)'s medium-haul international route subsidiary AirJapan announces on 9 March 2023 the selected products and services that it will launch on the inaugural flight. The airline plans to fly from Japan to Southeast Asia for the first time in February 2024, after deferring the flight launch from the second-half of 2023.

It is understood the Dreamliner aircraft for the inaugural flight is not ready for a test flight.

"AirJapan" is the third airline brand of the All Nippon Airways Group after "ANA" and "Peach", which is aimed at tourists of Asia. The cabin will be equipped with 324 economy class seats, made of high-quality Japanese artificial leather. For added convenience for smartphone and tablet users, Type-A and Type-C USB ports and a tablet stand will be provided.

Currently, AirJapan, "the arm for ex-pat pilots", technically operates on behalf of All Nippon Airways scheduled flights to Changi, Hong Kong and Manila from Narita and Haneda.

AirJapan is founded on 29 June 1990 after ex-pat Japan Airlines pilots were dismissed in earlier 1990. On 28 March 2022, the "AirJapan" brand is released and the original intended flight launch in the second-half of 2023 showing the full product image is mooted.
