26 March 2023 is the busiest day for Changi Airport as it welcomes not only FireFly's first B737-800 flight from Penang, Ethiopian Airlines' first 787-8 resumption flight from Addis Ababa but also welcomes the airport's new route launch from Chengdu Tianfu by Sichuan Airlines.
According to schedules, on 26 March 2023, Sichuan Airlines' flight 3U3919 departs from Chengdu Tianfu for Changi at 1.45 pm, touches down in Changi Terminal 2 at 6.40 pm before leaving Changi for Tianfu at 7.40 pm and arriving in Tianfu at 12.35 am on 27 March 2023 under flight 3U3920.
The above flights are operated by Sichuan Airlines' A321, A321neo aircraft on weekends, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays whereas on Tuesdays and Thursdays, flight 3U3919 leaves Tianfu for Changi at 10.20 am, touches down in Changi at 3.15 pm before leaving Changi for Tianfu at 4.15 pm and arriving in Tianfu at 9.10 pm under flight 3U3920.
Sichuan Airlines' last A330-300 flight to Changi from Chengdu Shuangliu falls on 3 March 2023 and from 7 March 2023 to 25 March 2023, the airline operates A321neo flights to Changi from Shuangliu on Tuesdays and Fridays only.

Tianfu and Shuangliu are the international airports of Chengdu. With Sichuan Airlines' launch of flight from Tianfu to Changi on 26 March 2023, only Air China and Singapore Airlines operate scheduled flights to Shuangliu.
There are no budget flights to Chengdu from Singapore.
