According to Changi Airport's press release on 18 July 2019, Scoot will operate flights from Changi Airport Terminal 1 from 22 October 2019. On 21 October 2019, Scoot will operate last day flights from Terminal 2.

Scoot's passengers departing from Changi Airport on 22 October 2019 and beyond will be notified from late July 2019 about Scoot's terminal move.

Scoot's move from Terminal 2 to Terminal 2 aims to facilitate its growth in the next few years. By end of 2020, it will launch nine more new routes as part of its network expansion plans for the future.

As Scoot's growth is expected to continue, customer experience will plan an even bigger role, with check-in experience identified as one of the top three areas it wants to improve for passengers. Partnering Changi Airport, passengers of Scoot will be able to utilize the new central zone in Terminal 1 for FAST and Seamless Travel (FAST) that features check-in kiosks and bag-drop machines after the move.

Besides, at the Arrival level of Terminal 1, the Meeters and Greeters Hall has been expanded and is seamlessly intergrated with Level 1 of Jewel Changi Airport. Two baggage claim belts have also been added to the original eight in the Baggage Claim Hall, of which two have been lengthened to handle more arriving passengers.

With the opening of Jewel Changi Airport since April 2019, Scoot's passengers also enjoy early check-in at Jewel, up to 18 hours before their flights.

Scoot CEO Mr Lee Lik Hsin said, "Over the years, our network coverage has grown rapidly. Every touchpoint of our customers' travel journey matters to us, and we strive to provide our growing customer base with enhanced efficiency from the moment they arrive at the airport.  With the move, we hope to encourage more customers to use the expanded self-service facilities, to enjoy a quicker and more seamless check-in process."

Since April 2019, Scoot has launched flights to eight new destinations in China, India, Laos and Malaysia, including Luang Prabang, Kunming, Wuhan, Changsha, Fuzhou and Kota Bharu.

Changi Airport will keep the public informed if any Terminal 1 flight operator has to move to Terminal 2 as a result of Scoot's move of flight operations to Terminal 1.

Currently, Scoot's fleet of 787 Dreamliner, A319, A320 and A320neo aircraft can be seen parking at the remote parking bay in front of Terminal 1, in front of the Cargo Terminal as well as at gates of Changi Airport Terminals 2 and 4 owing to space constraint. Hopefully, with the move to Terminal 1, Scoot's fleet will be centralized at Terminal 1.
