West Air's second A321 arrived in Chongqing from Singapore

On 4 January 2021, the CAAC Chongqing Supervision Bureau carried out the demonstration and verification of the emergency evacuation exercise of West Air’s newly introduced A321 aircraft at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. This aircraft is West Air's second A321.

According to the West Air fleet development plan, the first A321 aircraft introduction application was formally submitted to the bureau and approved in July 2020.

The second A321 of West Air was first sighted arriving in Singapore Changi Airport on 16 December 2020 before embarking on the return journey to Chongqing. When the two new aircraft entered the queue, the fleet size of West Air has reached 37. From the B-321T verified this time, another A321 aircraft will join the fleet in February 2020. 

Therefore, it is anticipated West Air’s all-Airbus passenger fleet includes 3 A321 besides 6 A320neo, 25 A320ceo and 4 A319 jets to start the airline's new chapter of growth.
