According to US-Bangla Airlines, it is launching twice-daily scheduled flights from Dhaka to Barishal using its ATR72-600 aircraft on 15 January 2020.
The detailed flight schedules are as follows :
US-Bangla Airlines flight BS171 departs from Dhaka for Barishal at 8.55 am, arrives in Barishal at 9.30 am before leaving Barishal for Dhaka at 10 am and arriving in Dhaka at 10.35 am under flight BS172.
At 3 pm, flight BS173 takes off from Dhaka for Barishal at 3 pm, touches down in Barishal at 3.35 pm before departing from Barishal for Dhaka at 4.05 pm and landing in Dhaka at 4.40 pm under flight BS174.
US-Bangla Airlines is receiving its third and fourth ATR72-600 aircraft by mid-January 2020.
About Barishal:
Barishal, also known as Barisal, is the basmati rice major production centre of Bangladesh and Bangladesh's "Venice of the East" as it has canals and a river. It is also famous for exports of betel leaf, a kind of chewing gum, and kedondong (in Malay, known as buah long long in Singapore English), which can be used as medicine for treatable illnesses such as diarrhoea and dysentery.
