China Airlines launches non-stop scheduled flight from Taoyuan to Chiang Mai using its B737-800 aircraft on 23 June 2020. The Taoyuan - Chiang Mai route is China Airlines' second new route in its 60th year of flight operations after its Taoyuan - Cebu route launch in March 2020.
On 23 June 2020, China Airlines flight CI851 departs from Taoyuan for Chiang Mai at 7.30 am, touches down in Chiang Mai at 10.20 am before leaving Chiang Mai for Taoyuan at 11.20 am and arriving in Taoyuan at 4.35 pm under flight CI852.
China Airlines flies to Chiang Mai on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
With the launch of direct flight to Chiang Mai, travellers from Taiwan no longer need to transit in Hong Kong or Bangkok for onward flights to Chiang Mai.
