Air Zimbabwe's first B777 finally arrived in Harare on 20 January 2020 from Kuala Lumpur. Its second B777 will arrive in Harare within the next few weeks. The two B777 aircraft were sold by Malaysia Airlines to the Government of Zimbabwe in 2019 after it retired the B777 fleet in 2014 following the unfortunate Malaysia Airlines aircraft loss and crash.
The B777 of Air Zimbabwe will undergo livery painting instead in Harare.
Air Zimbabwe plans to deploy the B777 on its continental routes to London, Beijing, Guangzhou, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
