During summer, Urumqi Air is operating once-weekly scheduled flight from Urumqi via Luoyang to Suvarnabhumi every Friday. Previously, the airline operated three weekly scheduled flights to Suvarnabhumi via Luoyang on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
According to schedules effective 12 April 2024, Urumqi Air flight UQ2641 departs from Urumqi to Suvarnabhumi via Luoyang at 7 am, transits in Luoyang at 10.50 am before taking off from Luoyang for Suvarnabhumi at 12.35 pm and touching down in Suvarnabhumi at 4.50 pm.
The outbound journey of flight UQ2642 leaves Suvarnabhumi on 12 April 2024 at 6.10 pm, stops over in Luoyang at 10.10 pm before departing from Luoyang for Urumqi at 11.45 pm and landing in Urumqi at 3.40 am.
The Urumqi=Luoyang=Suvarnabhumi flights are the only route sectors that link Xinjiang with Central China and Southeast Asia. Urumqi Air has yet to express its intentions to resume flights from Urumqi to Changi via Wuhan. It has suspended flights to Utapao and Cam Ranh.
Urumqi Air's inaugural scheduled flight to Suvarnabhumi via Luoyang is on 30 October 2023. It temporaily suspended flights from 31 March 2024.
