Urumqi Air arrives in Suvarnabhumi during daytime on 12 January 2024

Urumqi Air has commenced its first daytime flight to Suvarnabhumi from Urumqi via Luoyang since 12 January 2024. The flight lands in Suvarnabhumi in the afternoon after 3 pm on Fridays, the first time in the airline's history since international flight inception.

According to updated flight schedules, Urumqi Air flight UQ2641 departs from Urumqi for Suvarnabhumi via Luoyang on Fridays at 7 am, transits in Luoyang at 10.50 am before leaving Luoyang for Suvarnabhumi at 12.35 pm and touching down in Suvarnabhumi at 3.45 pm.

Then later in the afternoon, outbound flight UQ2642 leaves Suvarnabhumi for Luoyang at 5.05 pm, touches down in Luoyang at 10.10 pm before taking off from Luoyang for Urumqi at 11.45 pm and landing in Urumqi at 3.50 am on Saturdays.

On Wednesdays, flight UQ2641/UQ2642 operates to and leaves Suvarnabhumi at late time hours with UQ2641 leaving Urumqi for Suvarnabhumi at 2.50 pm, stopping over in Luoyang at 7 pm and taking off from Luoyang for Suvarnabhumi at 9.40 pm and arriving in Suvarnabhumi at 1.05 am on Thursdays. Then, UQ2642 leaves Suvarnabhumi on Thursdays at 2.35 am and touches down in Luoyang at 7.45 am for passengers to alight before continuing on the return voyage to Urumqi at 9.45 am and arriving in Urumqi at 2 pm.

The Urumqi-Luoyang-Suvarnabhumi flights are the only Southeast Asia flight service from Urumqi after the airline withdraws from the Singapore travel market. It first extends the route from Luoyang on 1 November 2023 before the extension to Suvarnabhumi was increased to twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays from 3 December 2023. Due to increasing demand for earlier arrivals in Bangkok, the Friday flight is thus timed to land in Suvarnabhumi at estimated 3.45 pm and there are no more Sunday flights to Suvarnabhumi from Urumqi and Luoyang.

UQ2641 actually lands in Suvarnabhumi on 12 January 2024 at 3.46 pm according to FlightRadar24.
