West Air's first A321neo enters commercial service on 3 April 2024

At about 8.42 pm at night of 3 April 2024, the first brand-new Airbus A321neo aircraft with business class of West Air, a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines, successfully made its maiden flight, executing flight PN6205 on the return Chongqing = Guangzhou sectors. The maiden flight carried 197 passengers, of which eight passengers sat on the eight Business Class seats.  At this point, the size of the West Air fleet has officially reached 40 aircraft. This new aircraft with registration number B-325W will be gradually put into use on more high-quality routes from Chongqing to Pudong, Hefei and so on.

It is reported that before the introduction of this aircraft, West Air already owned 39 A320 family series aircraft, including 4 A319s, 32 A320s and 3 A321 aircraft. This aircraft is also the first one with Business Class in West Air’s current fleet. The two-class layout of the aircraft opens the "new era of Business Class" for West Airlines.

The B-325W aircraft introduced by West Air this time belongs to Airbus' new generation A321-271NX long-range passenger aircraft. It is the longest member of Airbus's best-selling single-aisle A320 series and is ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex). cabin) configuration. The passenger cabin has a two-class layout, with 8 Business Class seats and 199 Economy Class seats. The fuselage length is 44.51 m, the wingspan is 35.8 m, the fuselage height is 11.76 m, and the longest range is 7,400 km.
