China Southern launches flight from Zhengzhou to Changi on 1 January 2023

China Southern launches scheduled flight from Zhengzhou to Changi on 1 January 2023.

According to schedules, China Southern flight CZ6051 departs from Zhengzhou for Changi at 8.20 am, touches down in Changi at 2.20 pm before leaving Changi for Zhengzhou at 3.50 pm and arriving in Zhengzhou at 9.30 pm under flight CZ6052 every Sunday.

On 1 January 2023, flight CZ6051 operated by the airline's B737-800 lands in Changi at 2.15 pm.

Flight check-in at Changi Airport starts at 12.50 pm and ends at 1.50 pm according to the notices on the China Southern check-in row counter at the airport. Economy Class passengers are only allowed checked-in one baggage weight of maximum 23 kg. Passengers need to show their green health code and passport during check-in.

Air Greenland has received its first A330neo jet

Air Greenland has taken delivery of an Airbus A330-800 wide-body aircraft, becoming the latest operator of the aircraft type. The Airbus A330neo will replace previous-generation aircraft in Air Greenland's fleet, reducing operating costs and improving environmental efficiency while providing passengers with a comfortable travel experience.

Air Greenland's A330neo can comfortably accommodate 305 passengers, including 42 premium economy seats and 263 economy class seats.

Air Greenland also has an agreement with Airbus for Flight Hour Services (FHS), covering parts supply and maintenance services. Based on concepts such as circular economy model and carbon footprint reduction, Airbus FHS can provide more sustainable solutions throughout the entire life cycle of the aircraft. Airbus FHS currently serves more than 1,200 aircraft worldwide.

In line with Air Greenland's sustainability strategy, the aircraft was delivered using a 30% blend of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

Air Greenland will initially deploy its A330neo on routes between the Arctic islands and Denmark, adding North American and European routes later.

Vietravel Airlines launches flight to Suvarnabhumi on 16 December 2022

On the day that Pacific Airlines resumes scheduled commercial flight to Changi from Ho Chi Minh City on 16 December 2022, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Suvarnabhumi, in short) welcomes Vietravel Airlines' first international flight from Hanoi. The airline's maiden flight landed in Suvarnabhumi at 2.15 pm, left Suvarnabhumi for Hanoi at 6.18 pm and touched down in Hanoi at 7.42 pm.

Based on daily schedules, Vietravel Airlines flight VN137 takes off from Hanoi for Suvarnabhumi at 11.55 am and is expected to arrive in Suvarnabhumi by 1.50 pm before leaving Suvarnabhumi for Hanoi at 2.50 pm and touching down in Hanoi at 5.05 pm daily under flight VU136.

In 2023, Vietravel Airlines plans to expand its route network to Changi, Taoyuan, Incheon and Busan and introduce flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Suvarnabhumi in January 2023.

Vietravel Airlines is Vietnam's fifth commercial airline. It is founded in December 2020 and begins domestic flights to Danang, Phu Quoc,  Hanoi, Quy Nhon, Cam Ranh, Dalat and Buon Ma Thuot from Ho Chi Minh City. It briefly suspended domestic flights when the covid epidemic in Vietnam went severe in 2021 and by 6 December 2021, it has resumed domestic passenger flights in Vietnam.

The airline has a fleet of three Airbus A321 jets and it plans to launch a cargo venture with Ho Chi Minh City-based Asean Cargo Gateway (ACG) which will operate cargo flights from Vietnam to China, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia with up to four B737-800 freighter aircraft by December 2023.

Known for its inflight storytellers, Vietravel Airlines has recently won prestigious awards such as Asia's Leading New Airline 2022 from the World Travel Awards, World's Best Leisure Airline 2022 voted by Skytrax Organization and Inspirational Brand Award 2022 from the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards.

Hunnu Air launches seasonal chartered flight to Manila on 21 December 2022

Hunnu Air launches seasonal chartered flight to Manila from Chinggis Khaan International Airport (UBN) in Khoshig Valley on 21 December 2022 with its Embraer ERJ190 aircraft.

On 21 December 2022, Hunnu Air outbound flight MR611 leaves Khoshig Valley for Manila at 12.30 am, touches down in Manila at 8 am before leaving Manila for UBN in Khoshig Valley at 11 pm and arriving in UBN at 6.40 am on 22 December 2022 under flight MR612.

Hunnu Air flies to Manila every Wednesday during the winter months. The flights are chartered by AirPlane Travel Agency Head Office based in Ulaanbaatar.

With the addition of Manila on 21 December 2022, Hunnu Air flies to six international destinations including Almaty, Bishkek, Ulan-Ude, Delhi and Harbin.

TransNusa receives its first China-made ARJ21-700 aircraft on 18 December 2022

On 18 December 2022, TransNusa takes receipt of its first China-made ARJ21-700 aircraft. 

This is the first time a Chinese jetliner has entered an overseas market.

The ARJ21 aircraft delivered to TransNusa this time has a 95-seat all-economy class layout. The cabin interior, passenger seats and exterior painting are all customized by the customer, and the passenger seats are made of full leather seat fabric. The fuselage of the aircraft is printed with the Indonesian flag pattern, and the exterior painting is designed based on the colour tone of the logo of TransNusa. Blue represents the sky, yellow represents human beings, and green represents the earth.

As the largest economy in ASEAN, Indonesia is one of the fastest-growing civil aviation markets in the world. It has many islands and is suitable for the operation of regional airliners. Founded in 2005 with a fleet of ATR42-500, ATR72-600 aircraft and headquartered in Jakarta, TransNusa has been a low-cost airline since February 2022 with a fleet of  2 A320, 1 A320neo and now 1 ARJ21-700 aircraft. It mainly operates domestic flights from Jakarta to Yogyakarta and Denpasar. Through efficient management methods and advanced operating systems, it provides passengers with safe and comfortable flight services.

Greater Bay Airlines plans to launch charter flight to Changi on 22 December 2022

According to Changi Airport, Hong Kong's newest airline Greater Bay Airlines has obtained landing slot at Changi and it plans to launch its first charter flight to Changi from Hong Kong on 22 December 2022.

According to the flight schedule in ichangi app, Greater Bay Airlines flight HB995 arrives in Changi Airport Terminal 1 at 10 am on 22 December 2022. Other dates of flight operation are not indicated.

The flight, however, may be subject to change without notice. 

Singapore is the first planned destination of Greater Bay Airlines' flight network plan besides Bangkok and Phuket months before the airline launched its first flight to Suvarnabhumi. Other scheduled flights to Taoyuan, Narita and Incheon begin on 1 December 2022, 12 January and 17 January 2023 respectively. Singapore may be next on the scheduled flight network plan of the airline.

Hunnu Air launches weekly flight to Harbin on 17 December 2022, to Manila next

Hunnu Air launches Saturday scheduled flight from Chinggis Khaan International Airport (UBN) in Khoshig Valley to  Harbin on 17 December 2022 with its Embraer E190 regional jet.

On 17 December 2022, Hunnu Air flight MR821 departs from Khoshig Valley to Harbin at 11 am, touches down in Harbin at 1.30 pm before leaving Harbin for UBN at 2.35 pm and landing in UBN at 5.05 pm under flight MR822.

Apart from the Harbin new route, Hunnu Air 's E190 has been chartered by AirPlane Travel Agency for group tour flights to Manila from UBN. According to AirPlane, the first scheduled charter flight will depart for Manila from UBN on 21 December 2022 and direct booking with AirPlane for the Hunnu Air flight begins on 14 December 2022.

Ethiopian Airlines' first resumption flight arrives in Changi on 26 March 2023

Ethiopian Airlines is resuming commercial flight from Addis Ababa to KLIA via Singapore Changi Airport on 25 March 2023. Its first resumption flight arrives in Changi on Sunday, 26 March 2023.

According to schedules, Ethiopian flight ET638 departs from Addis Ababa for KLIA via Changi on 25 March 2023 at 11.20 pm, touches down in Changi on 26 March 2023 at 2.50 pm before taking off from Changi for KLIA at 3.50 pm and arriving in KLIA at 5.10 pm.

At 11.15 pm of 26 March 2023, Ethiopian flight ET639 leaves KLIA for Addis Ababa via Changi, stops over in Changi at 12.45 am on 27 March 2023 before departing from Changi for Addis Ababa at 2 am and touching down in Addis Ababa at 5.50 am local time on the same day.

Ethiopian Airlines flies to Changi from Addis Ababa on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and arrives in Changi and KLIA on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Flights leave Singapore for Addis Ababa on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays during sleeping hours.
