Hainan Airlines launches its fourth route to Los Angeles on 31 December 2018 using its 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
On 31 December 2018, Hainan Airlines flight HU493 departs from Xi'an Xianyang for Los Angeles at 9.10 pm, touches down in Los Angeles at 6.10 pm local time before leaving Los Angeles for Xi'an Xianyang at 11.20 pm and arriving in Xi'an Xianyang at 5.20 am under flight HU494 on 2 January 2019.
Hainan Airlines operates flights between Xi'an and Los Angeles on Mondays and Thursdays and touches down in Xi'an on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It currently operates flights from Changsha, Chengdu and Chongqing to Los Angeles.
