Turkmenistan Airlines resumes flight to Suvarnabhumi, plans Southeast Asia expansion

On 22 December 2023, Turkmenistan Airlines resumes scheduled flight from Ashgabat to Suvarnabhumi with its B777-300ER. On other days, B777-200 may be used. Next, the airline plans to launch scheduled direct flight to Ho Chi Minh City on 5 March 2024 with subsequent services initially scheduled for the remaining Tuesdays and Thursdays of March 2024 and later to KLIA with its B777-200.

The first resumption flight of Turkmenistan Airlines takes off from Ashgabat for Suvarnabhumi under flight T5647 at 6.15 pm, touches down in Suvarnabhumi at 2.55 am on 23 December 2023 before leaving Suvarnabhumi for Ashgabat at 4.20 am and landing in Ashgabat at 9 am local time on the same day under flight T5648.

The above timings are effective for travel on Fridays/Saturdays.

On Sundays effective 24 December 2023,  flight T5647 leaves Ashgabat for Suvarnabhumi at 3.10 am, touches down in Suvarnabhumi at 11.50 am before departing from Suvarnabhumi for Ashgabat at 2.05 pm and arriving in Ashgabat at 6.45 pm under flight T5648. That is the only current daytime flight of Turkmenistan Airlines in Southeast Asia.

On the planned schedule to Ho Chi Minh City, flight T5657 is expected to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City from Ashgabat at 1.30 am on Tuesdays (5 March 2024), at 5.20 pm on Thursdays effective 7 March 2024 (Thursday) while flight T5656 is expected to leave Ho Chi Minh City for Ashgabat at 3.30 am (6 March 2024) and 7.20 pm (7 March 2024) and touch down in Ashgabat by 9.15 am and 1.05 am respectively.  However, at the moment, Turkmenistan Airlines has not confirmed the actual flight schedules yet and any change to the inaugural flight date may be possible.

Turkmenistan Airlines plans to resume scheduled flight to KLIA next.
