On 16 July 2018, VietJet Air launches regular weekly scheduled flight to Haikou from Cam Ranh, the airport gateway to Nha Trang, using Airbus A320 aircraft.
At 10.25 pm on 16 July 2018, VietJet flight VJ5286 departs from Cam Ranh for Haikou at 10.25 pm, arrives in Haikou at 12.15 am on 17 July 2018 before leaving Haikou for Cam Ranh at 1.10 am and touching down in Cam Ranh at 3.05 am under flight VJ5287.
VietJet's flights from Cam Ranh to Haikou are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while its flights to Cam Ranh from Haikou take off on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The Cam Ranh-Haikou route of VietJet Air is its third new Vietnam-China route to be opened in July.
On 1 July 2018, VietJet Air launched charter flight to Dayong, the airport gateway to Zhangjiaje in Hunan, from Ho Chi Minh City and initiated scheduled flight from Hanoi to Dayong on 2 July 2018, flying on Tuesdays and Sundays under the flight pairs VJ2552/VJ2553.
