StarFlyer launches regular flights to Taoyuan on 28 October 2018, Hong Kong to follow

StarFlyer, the Japanese private airline headquartered in Kitakyushu in Fukuoka Prefecture, has advertised on its web-site www.starflyer.jp that it intends to launch regular scheduled flights to Taoyuan, the international gateway to Taipei, from Kitakyushu, Fukuoka and Nagoya on 28 October 2018.

Flight schedules and tickets will be available online in due course.

StarFlyer currently operates flights from Haneda to Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Kansai, Yamaguchi-Ube and from Fukuoka to Nagoya. 

According to Daisuke Okamoto, the Assistant Manager of StarFlyer, the airline also operates charter flights from Kitakyushu to Incheon, Taoyuan and Hong Kong. It ran short-run scheduled flights to Busan until 2014. It hopes to launch scheduled flight to Hong Kong by 2019, subject to regulatory approval, to meet travel demand between Hong Kong and Kitakyushu.

StarFlyer first started domestic flight operations from Kitakyushu on 16 March 2006 using Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
